Amazed and Thankful

The doctor told us he would grow out of it but as he approched his 10th birthday I decided to do some research of my own and bought this book and started the program. It has been 6 weeks, he only wet 6 times within the first 3 weeks and he has been dry now for 3 weeks straight. We are amazed. I wish I would have done something sooner.

Great Results

At the request of my daughter about 3 weeks before her 6th birthday, my daughter asked for help to get dry by her birthday. I bought this book and, within two-three weeks, we were dry. My daughter and I read the relevant part of the book once, discussed it several times before going to bed and, poof, we were dry after keeping the chart for 2 weeks. The book was fun, relevant, easy to use, not overly academic and proved that, where there is a will (and some good academics behind you such as this book), you are golden. Looking forward to my 4 year old's turn.

A Great Bedwetting Book

"Waking Up Dry is an outstanding resource for parents and children; it alleviates the negative feelings associated with bedwetting and carefully outlines successful treatment plans to help children become dry at night. Waking Up Dry is a book that all doctors who treat bedwetting should recommend to their patients." Preston Smith, MD FAAP FACS, Pediatric Urologist

Dry in 8 Weeks

My 6-year-old daughter enjoyed reading Waking Up Dry and participated enthusiastically in all the activities suggested by Dr. Bennett. I was initially skeptical about whether she could get through a 240-page book about bedwetting. However, the book became part of our bedtime story routine and provided valuable information that helped me and my husband support her as she learned to stay dry all night. Dr. Bennett's conversational text reassured my daughter that other children shared the same problem and encouraged her that she could become the boss of her body. She giggled as we read about the adventures of the book's cartoon superheroes, Bladderman and Nephron, and she loved earning rewards for completing different parts of the program. My daughter became dry about 8 weeks after we started the program and has been dry ever since. Lauren K.

Practical guide for children abd parents

Given the pace of family practice, I often don't have enough time to deal with problems such as bedwetting. "Waking Up Dry" is a terrific book that provides a lot of information in a clear and concise manner that not only explains why children wet the bed, but also what they can do to fix the problem. The book is brimming with practical tips that make it easier to treat the condition. For example, this is the first book I've seen that gives children advice on how to handle sleepovers or what to do if someone discovers their bedwetting supplies by accident. Children will also enjoy the cartoon characters and humor that make the book fun to read. I will enthusiastically recommend this book to all of my patients who suffer with this medical problem.
