Voyage of the Iceberg: The Story of the Iceberg That Sank the Titanic

I found this book on the shelf of a friends bookcase and was told that it was a gift recieved but never read. I became intrigued after just a few lines were read because in a sense the book is a "biography" about a hypothetical iceberg off the coast of Greenland and the typical path traveled into the North Atlantic similar to what eventually sank the Titanic. I read the book several years ago and well before the popularity of anything to do with the Titanic. The book is very informative and well written. Its probably time to now bring it back into print as many readers seek a better understanding of icebergs and how they are created and move into the navigation paths of big ships. Even to this day there is an international iceberg patrol monitoring the path of icebergs in the shipping lanes. They are also watched by satellite and tracked by GPS. Don't hesitate to read this book if you can rustle up a copy. I have since reading this book visited Greenland and suggest that if you are not up to desolation and biting blackflies reading the book in the comfort of your home might be the best way to learn about these cold monsters.
