One of the most captivating novels you can find. The sequel of "KONTOL"(Control), but would be as interesting if read separately. To be honest, that is what happened in my case. But do read the Control too. It is a story about the supposed deeds of the Stalin's special agencies, but it is exaggerated. Yet, the author fits into the background and the action the description of Stalin's security system and mass-executions. It is not story with historic accuracy but more of a James Bond-type novel. But, it is much more realistic and worth reading. The end is truly unexpected and realy leaves you begging for more. Victor Suvorov proved in this novel that he is not only an expert in history, but a superb author too. He describes not only the actions, but adetailed human phsyche as well.
