Venus on the Fringe

Debbie Steinbach's books are a delight...and a bit miraculous. Debbie, known to her fans and grateful students as "Venus", has the uncanny ability to instruct females (and ego-grounded, perceptive males) in a language that is immediately understood, and produces instant results! I play with my 8 handicap husband, and used to prefer collecting pine cones at certain holes, rather than being swallowed up by angst in well-meaning tips to improve my game. After reading Debbie's first book, my intimidation was cut in half, and I was crushing the ball off the tee, landing only a few feet from the men folk. It didn't take long to understand the necessity of a good short game, and this spectacular second book has helped me to break into the 90's after golfing for only three years. I read each chapter often, studying the photos and clear, (often humorous) instruction, and feel as if this gifted pro is with me every time I play. Her books are all that one needs...with the exception of having a lesson from her in person. Venus is not only the best golf instructor and author on the planet, but makes the game of golf all that it is intended to be...one of the greatest joys on earth.
