Although you Rant, I've got to Rave!

This book is not for the squeamish...it is bloody and gruesome...you feel like you're right there in the action and it holds your attention the entire time--esp. w/ the way G.L. Giles does her narration, as if she's talking directly to you. But she does seem to rant on and on about some topics___seems like some personal angst seeping in. I still have to rave though. I liked it better than her first short book though it's lots bloodier. And interesting spiritual ideas presented.

Hey I said I'd write a review if I liked it, & I did!!!

The only thing you could have done differently is more character development with the major characters and left some of the more minor characters out, but, hey, they are sketches...I liked your first person singular and first person plural point-of-view; it's a novel approach. So, now I need to read your first book since i kinda started in the middle. And I dug the illustrations---even yours G.L. Giles---that Napoleon Dynamite thing you wrote was funny! Talking with you online, I think it's a great idea you have to bring in the role-playing vamps next...and when is the next book finished?!!

Very Unique and Entertaining though it skipped around too much

I loved this unique and thought-provoking book. My only criticisms are that it was too short, because I definately want more, and it sometimes skipped around too much. The artwork is beautiful though some doesn't seem to exactly fit, yet all in all it works...I fell in love with Vladina's character...what a great villianous...move over Vlad Dracul...or maybe he's looking on pleased with his offshoot, so to speak. Julia was disappointing in this book as well as her brother ernesto, but I liked Susanna's and Trinity's roles much more...

Thanks GL Amazing Prequel!

I love it. I love the development of characters in the sketches. I think looking back is a great way to expand on who they are soulfuly. The addition of vampric language is especially intriguing to me. Yes you must have vampire script and its relationship to angelic script. Novel idea! Being from the south I love the references to familiar places too. I believe the family ties unfolding and the ending are tremendoulsy powerful. The skeletons in the closet. Again, I am very anixous to see where Vladina goes from here. I love the ending but now I want more. Can't wait for the next book. I highly recommend this book for those who are interrested in relationships of all types as they relate to self discovery. The characters reflect what so many people ignore about themse4lves and others. It is great to see the human condition reflected in this powerful and "real" narrative. There are some deep thoughts between the lines. The narrator's reflection of Southern "bites" are marvelous! Keep the novels coming GL.

Far exceeded the first book

I liked the plot revolving around Vladina; she's a great villianess because you can really feel her pain. I liked it more than the love story plot of your novella. Ernesto needs a spanking...or whoops, maybe he already got that from Opere.
