One of the best books available on grief offers solid guidance to all who minister to those who mourn. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Up from Grief: Patterns of Recovery I originally read this book in 1981. Since then I have either passed my own numerous copies to friends who have lost a loved one. I also send the book to others far away. It is well written and helps the reader to understand what is happening to them and why it is happening the way it is. The stages of grief are shock, suffering and recovery. I suggest that the reader read the introduction and the shock chapters first until the other stages are reached. Simple to understand and reads well and quick. It is a comfort to be shown what you are feeling is "normal" and you will be okay.
A must read book for anyone who has lost a loved one.
