I am a complete sports fanatic. I like sports of all kinds,from baseball to soccer. In fact, I even want to be in sports broadcasting or journalism some day. Reading Up Close only made a career in sports media more interesting. The book is about Roy Firestone,former host of Up Close, a talk show on ESPN. The book talks about Roy's experences with famous and infamous sports figures. People like Arthur Ashe, Charles Barkley and many others. He even talks about his experiences with famous sports fans like Richard Nixon and Jerry Lewis. He also talks about his second career. I truly enjoyed this book. His experiences are intriging and inspiring. They make me want to pursue a career in sports reporting. I would recommend this book to anybody who enjoys learning about the experiences of being famous. Thank you.
