Book Overview

This instant New York Times bestseller from Christina Lauren will wrap you "in its cozy, jolly embrace like a beloved holiday sweater" (Entertainment Weekly) as Maelyn Jones discovers what happens when Christmas wishes comes true.

It's the most wonderful time of the year...but not for Maelyn Jones. She's living with her parents, hates her going-nowhere job, and has just made a romantic error of epic proportions.

Christmas Romance

This is a Christmas Romance with a little time travel (I guess). I am so happy that I got approved from a Netgalley e-book of this book, and I cannot wait to read it. I love Christina Lauren's book, so I requested this book without even seeing what is was about. I normally do not like book with time travel, but this book was so great. This is one of my favorite Christmas books. The main character is Maelyn. Her family and her mother's best friend's family was staying in a cabin for Christmas like they always do. Everything was going wrong and Mae makes a wish that ends up making her keep repeat the start of the trip until she gets it right. I found this book very cute and funny at parts and enough drama to keep me wanting to read it. Great book. I love a great Christmas story. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are. Since, I have brought a copy of this book.

Sadly, not my favorite

I have become addicted to Christina Lauren books because, up until this point, I could always guarantee they would be a light easy read, which I need at the end of a busy day. This book, however, made my brain work a little bit too much. The first few chapters were disorienting, as they allow the reader to experience with the main character a strange unexplained time warping that’s got her thinking she’s gone crazy. For some readers, this may be exciting stimulation, but for me, at the end of a stressful day, I don’t want to have to work too hard to figure out what’s happening in a book. As a result, I abandoned this book early on, after the first few chapters. Perhaps I should’ve given it more of a chance, but it just wasn’t working for me.
