Dead Man Running

Would be 5 stars except for flimsy packaging which allows the books to become damaged in transit.

The usual cast of characters and local scenes are missing here. Mostly about a serial killer and lots of information I did not want or need to read. I put it down several times & considered not reading anymore. I keep the Alex McKnight books to reread but this one will be donated. Actually when you get to the end it just isn't up to par with the other books and the premise isn't anything new or special. Do we really need another book about the mind and actions of a serial killer? The attraction of Alex McKnight is the characters and their relationships, that was totally missing here. It felt like someone else wrote the book or was at a loss for new material. Very disappointing.
