This book really satisfies the romatic teenaged girl. Although it doesn't really give you a look into the life of a Commanche tribe, it does introduce you to the differences of peoples in America a hundred years ago. The book is the second in a series of three and I now look forward to reading the other two to complete the story. This one starts out where Teyah (half Commanche, half white) finds herself fulfilling her mothers dying wish to live with the white people (her mother was white) after she dies. So Teyah finds herself not adjusting well to life of a teenaged white girl living on the frontier at the time. Being only 15, Teyah longs to be with Walking Shadow, her love back in the Commanche tribe. Little does she realize her affect on other young men at her new home, especially Cleve. Ultimitly, she learnes more about herself while trying to fit into the "white" world.
