Book Overview

It turns out giving up your "right" to be offended can be one of the most freeing, healthy, simplifying, relaxing, refreshing, stress-relieving, encouraging things you can do.

It's a radical, provocative idea: We're not entitled to get offended or stay angry. The idea of our own "righteous anger" is a myth. It is the number one problem in our societies today and, as Dallas Willard says, Christians have not been taught out...

The World NEEDS this book

After reading this book; I could not stop talking about it any chance I could find to bring it into a conversation. I even spoke with my pastor about starting a small book club group using this book as the starter book. I knew that I wAnted to get this book into the world; so I wrote Brant Hansen an email and asked his permission about the books club, as well as doing a vlog to use this book for a type of video ministry. I was thrilled when he wrote back giving me his blessing on it. So, this book (or the words within it) will be traveling further than the book itself. I pray that it inspires others to get it, read it themselves, and pass it on as well!

Will be reading again and again and again

I don't think I have ever wanted to review a book everywhere I could and buy enough copies to give to literally every person I know quite as much as I do with this one. Worth it. Worth every second it took to read it. Worth every word. In fact, I could have read more words, but the ones he used were direct and to the point so I didn't need them but would have happily read them. I could read it again right now with the same excitement, in fact I just may start again tonight. This book is very direct and to the point with an amazing dash of humor and well of course that makes sense. I haven't heard a bad review yet and it came so highly recommended that I'm embarrassed it even took this long to read.

Indescribable impact on me

I've listened to Brant before & love his quirky humor. There is some of that in this book but also his no-nonsense positive admonition to get outside ourselves touched me to the core. I want my whole family to read this...the whole world would be better!

A wonderful reminder

I listen to the Brant & Sherri Oddcast all the time, so I was already familiar with a lot of what Brant talks about in Unoffendable. But it's always good and important to be reminded that I need to forgive others regardless of whether they're sorry. I also loved the personal stories Brant includes, especially the one about his friend who bought the shop in town. I love his writing style and can't wait for his next book.

If You Struggle with anger, bitterness and general negativity- this is for you !

The Title Is Not Just Another Superlative ! I am an avid reader, particularly regarding self help, counseling and such. I was a marriage and family therapist for years. This book offers a greatly needed perspective . Brant Hansen gives perspective about how we all (almost universally) get offended. He exposes the gospel of Jesus in a fresh manner, taking to task the tendency in the "church" to castigate and discard virtually anybody who does not see it just a we do. this is a great book for those who are always angry and frustrated. AN EXCELLENT READ !
