This book's real strength is as an introduction to the UNIX system for beginners who want to master the C shell thoroughly before moving on to the vast array of utilities and other features that UNIX offers.
I've been using UNIX on and off for a couple of years, but didn't systematically learn the powerful C shell tricks. This little book just fits in for this task: truely a "learn it in 24 hours" type (if you have some experience) --- don't call it that name in the 2nd edition though! --- It also solved some of my mysteries about why certain commands are used in that way. Overall this is a good book. It can save you a lot of time, both from learning C Shell AND from work in using C shell. One thing could be added: a summery of all the commands.
