Unexpected Circumstances

This was an excellent story with good character development.The story does not fall into many of the cliches that some romance novels breed. Marcus'character is the most interesting and one of best characters I read in this genre. mpwash

I don't care for romance novels, but this one and others by Crystal Downs are unexpected and great to read. Unexpected Circumstances is a romance novel with a few twists. Some of the twists you kinda expect, but the meeting between her future employer and the twists at the end were definitly made the romance novel not so typical. And Elaine is a character that I think people can relate to an probably know someone just like her.

Unexpected Circumstances started off a little slow but Mrs. Down's more than made up for that once the story took off. A conniving CEO/mother/aunt, two rivaling cousins, and a desperate Tracy Middleton thrown in for good measure will keep you engaged until the very end.

I finished this book in two days! I simply could not put it down. The characters were intelligent the dialoge was mature and it was worth the purchase. I've found many african american books to be very typical...this book would be a great movie with the right director and cast! I'm looking forward to reading more from Crystal Downs. Very well written...I found myself smiling and feeling the full range of emotions the characters felt. I just wish the love scene was a little longer..LOL. Great job Crystal...I've never written a review, but was moved to do so. Thank you for sharing your talent!
