The book looks like it was cut by a razor

I'm very satisfied with everything about this book, especially since it has no markings. However, I gave 3/5 stars because it has a huge slash in the back causing the back cover and pages to be torn. I think it was done by a razor because the cut is perfectly straight. I'm a little upset about it, but I understand these books are used. I just was not aware I would be receiving a book that was cut up. I was expecting acceptable markings and highlighting.
