Excellent, readable book

While this book may be somewhat dated, I found this book to be an excellent introduction to C. While the book is over 18 years old, the C language, which is the backbone of Linux and Mac OS X, has changed very little. For people who find K & R unreadable (like I did), this is a much gentler introduction to C.
