Suburban housewife and vampire queen Betsy Taylor makes an alarming discovery: her half-sister is truly the Devil's daughter, and she can't wait to raise hell. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I just want to say that although some other reviewers found this book seriously lacking in length and in plot, I enjoyed reading it. The plot has been detailed in other reviews so I will skip that and remind the readers that Ms. Davidson is the author and she is the one who decides what happens to Betsey Taylor, Vampire Queen, not us. I am sorry if you miss some characters who were killed, I loved them too, especially a certain reclaimed feral vampire. That he died in the previous book upset me also but life - unlife? - goes on. Write her a letter and tell the author what you think. What is the problem with the length of the book? I am also a very fast reader but the book was long enough to take care of the plot situation and let us know that something big and messy was coming up in the next one. I love Betsey and find her hilarious. I look forward to many more books in the series. When one arrives I know I will have a good time reading it.
Funny, sexy, edge-of-your-seat mystery. GREAT BOOK!

These books are hilarious, sexy, with a high level of mystery and intrigue thrown in. I recommend this series to anyone who loves friendly vampires... and some not-so-friendly ones.
Great Series

I don't care what the other reviews stated, I love this series. I find it refreshing with a laught out loud quality. While I think that books 7 & 8 are a little more serious and perhaps heavy, I think that it still has great quality. I know that I am looking forward to book 9.

I can't get enough of Betsy, she makes me laugh. I really enjoyed this book, my only complaint was it just wasn't long enough.
Undead and Unwelcome

that has yet to be a Mary Janice Davidson book that I haven't liked. This one is no exception. Returning Toni the werewolf's dead body from the previous book Undead and Unworthy back to her pack in Cape Cod we are reintroduced to not only Wyndham werewolves more popular characters like Morgan Le Fay from Derik's Bane but also characters from some of those anthology books that included a Queen Betsy/ Wyndham werewolf cross over. Betsy feels like she's a bit on trail and will do almost anything to avoid a vampire/werewolf war since the werewolves are well organized and she is not. Some of the more interesting spots is the way different were wolve react to Betsy kid who proves to have as special powers as her spawn of the devil sister who has decided to do some light house cleaning in the vampire elimination department with the help of her worshipers.
