This book grabs hold of you

Reviewed By David Peters for Reader Views (8/06) Imagine growing up to become exactly what you felt you were supposed to be: Perfect career, perfect wife and family. Only to one day, have every dream shattered and your perfect life come crashing down around you. Sounds like your typical horror movie plot, right? It's not, It's actually your life. Imagine waking up one morning with a fever and not being able to move a muscle. No calls for help because nobody is there. A mysterious illness has taken hold of your body and the only thing you can do is lay there and wait for enough strength to come back so you can call someone for help. That's how Ken Fink begins his book of self exploration and healing "Unbuttoned: Who Says Men Can't Change". Ken grabs hold of you and leads you through his struggles to find a name for what was wrong with him, and finally accepting that there is no name for it. He then begins his journey of healing that takes him to some unexpected places where he meets many wise and helpful people. This book forces you to take a hard look at your life. I highly recommend it for every man and anyone who may find that worldly things are more important than the things we are given and often take advantage of.

Every man in corporate America: This may save your life!!

This is a story of one man's fall into despair, having been a successful lawyer, his work took him on a roller coaster ride that led to stress beyond belief. The life path he was forced into was a blessing in disguise. You will laugh with him, cry with him, celebrate with him as he learns the true meaning of surrender, trust, and experiencing the meaning of peace as he becomes one with his Higher Self after many role transitions. Men: This is a must read for all of you, those who are in the corporate world playing corporate games, and those who are striving to reach the top of the corporate ladder. This book may just save your life in more ways than one. There is much to laugh about and cry about in this book. I can see this book becoming a number one best seller.

exceptional journey

Ken takes us on a fasinating journey seeking peace, health, and wisdom with wit and intellect. He faced great trama, but kept seeking answers. This is a great book for each of us as we follow this path which is life.

Exceptional Memoir

A wonderful reading for men who have considered that their lives may have more meaning than they can experience only through hard work and the satisfaction of work related success. A great portrayal of one man's journey from the left brain to the right to find a place of balance, understanding and insight. Wonderful that he has found a way to share these insights in such an instructive and enjoyable way.

Loved this book

I loved UNBUTTONED. It is a true story about a person who woke up to the fact that his life was missing something and decided to risk the reliable in pursuit of life's magical possibilities. During my ten years in the corporate world, it seemed to me there were a lot of people who were letting their lives follow thoughtless paths. It was so refreshing to read about someone - especially a man -- who searched for and found more meaning. Unbuttoned is filled with humorous and honest accounts of things that happened during a period in Ken Fink's life when he went from being who he thought he should be to discovering what he could be. He describes in detail his feelings about events that he went through that I could relate to, such as his mother's illness and death, and events that were unfamiliar to me, such as his interactions with yogis. Besides being easy to read and funny, I found the book educational. It provided insight into why alternative medicine continues to be embraced by more and more people. Reading about how things fell into place as Ken went through the trials and joys of life demonstrated to me the benefits of following your intuition and listening to your heart.
