Try herbs for healing

In 2001 i developed some sort of problem, which was stomach or possibly liver related.I used to drink alot, and i got kind of giddy from it during the day.Something internal was telling me to give the drink away.I did but the lightheadedness stayed.I went to the doctor about it,after some blood tests, they couldnt find one thing wrong with me.Now this lasted about a year on and off.Certain things seemed to trigger it,and i couldnt figure out what to do about it.The doctors seemed useless to me,i wondered if i would get out of this problem i had because even though i didnt drink, there was some days i felt realy out of it.Now i wouldnt take herbal remedys without checking with a doctor first. One day i decided to type in my symptoms on the internet and hit search to see what would happen.Alot of things came up about herbal remedys. So i experimented with some of the bitters herbs, and i couldnt believe what an instant difference it made. One herb which i had the most success with is lavender.First time i took it i knew i was onto something good.Another one was dandelion root,i had them in a tea. There was mixtures of bitters herbs i tried, and some liver tonics. But the tea was the most effective for me.These days every now and then i may feel it a little, just to remind me im not 22 anymore.I do not take the herbal teas unless i need to,because they are less effective if you always take them.Which is why if you have something similar i certainly would give alcohol the boot as i did.I can tell you prior to this i payed little attention to herbal remedys, but they have sold me these days.I experimented with quite a few different herbs, just to see which ones were the most effective. All the time getting better and better. So if you have an ailment of some description, seriously look into this, sometimes you may have to experiment to find the right herb for your case.

WELL WORTH THE PRICE OF ADMISSION!!!

There are not many things left in this world that give you MORE return on your money than you pay for. Both this book and it's companion, Prescription for Nuitritional Healing are worth their weight in GAS! I know the old standard was gold.. but Gas is worth more now. All kidding aside, I've kept both books close by since the day I purchased them. And Reccomend both books to anyone with ailments that require expensive medications. They just may surprise you!

Great reference

I bought both Nutritional Healing and Herbal Healing by Phyllis Balch. These books are a wonderful resource. I am a chronic migraine sufferer seaking alternative remedies and the suggestions in the books correlated with neurology studies using alternative methods. I would highly recommend these books to anyone seeking alternative remedies.

A wonderfully comprehensive work

I found a flyspeck on page 407 so I'm giving this book 1 star---No, this is quite simply the most complete and the most reader friendly book on herbal medicine in print today, Phyllis Balch's finest effort. Free from the biases of authors who are selling particular products or promoting their in-store information kiosks, Prescription for Herbal Healing was obviously written to help real people get well with simple remedies at the lowest possible expense in the shortest possible time with the least risk of side effects (and when I checked MedLine, there were no reports of adverse results from using baby oil). I like it even better than the Prescription for Nutritional Healing books that are, for reasons I can't understand, for better known. Even if you think you've seen it all in herbalism, buy this book.
