One Lucky, Lilac Dress Coat and a Dice-Box .

Historical Romance set in London and Colonial Williamsburg. Abigail is the daughter and sister of profligate gamblers. She finds herself offered as a bond-servant to Lord Jasper Cuddlesdon, in payment of her Father's gambling debt. Cuddleston,a spurned suitor, did not receive his conge with any sign of acceptance. He arranges single passage to Williamsburg for his new bond-servant on the brig, Alice Nancy. Abigail meets a charming, former bond-servant, Lance Haworth, on the voyage. Lance now owns his own plantation and is no friend of Jasper Cuddleston. Lance offers sympathy and comfort to fearful Abigail. Can he protect her in her new life as a bond-servant? Has Abigail seen the true man or is she blinded by love? This is a fast-paced, breathless romance with really fine historical detail. There is something for everyone: high stakes gambling, seduction, childbirth, child abductions, larceny, deceit, murder and a happy ending. And two, very human, believable villians. Recommended.
