Not only is this book the perfect gift and quick read when need but easy to follow along. The words flow oh so beautifully ! Definitely would recommend.

My favorite book I read when I was younger. I’m excited to read it again

I ordered the book for one of my students who is an English Language Learner, but who still enjoys reading stories in her native language. I believe she had already read the book in English, but wanted to make sure she fully understood what she had read. The book arrived in excellent condition and just a day or two later than I had expected. My student was delighted to receive it. Thank you.

Although I haven't read TUCK PARA SIEMPRE, (though I do speak a little Spanish), I read the English version, and anyone who thinks Tuck Everlasting is boring or bad, etc. was dropped on their heads when they were babies! The book was awesome! When my teacher passed it out in the 6th grade, I thought it would be boring, but it turned out to be my absolute favorite! My best friend gave me the book for Christmas a year later, and I've read it several times and cried everytime. Not only was it beautifully written, but I think Jesse and Winnie should have run off together. Sure, living forever wouldn't be peachy, but Jesse would have made it worth her while. If a writer can pull at a reader's heart strings with their books, that's really something, but when the same author can do it to the same reader with the same book, that's incredible, and that is what Natalie Babbitt has done to me.Oh yeah, don't forget-on October 11, the new Disney movie of TUCK EVERLASTING is coming to theatres! They made Winnie 15 so that she and Jesse could get REALLY romantic (and they do),and I'm so happy about it. It made me cry just watching the previews, because it looks beautifully done. ... So, in conclusion, Tuck Everlasting is a story that will stay with me forever, because it has touched my life.

Tuck Everlasting holds more power than it looks like it does. A lot of kids these days are forced to read these on the torturesome summer reading lists etc. so may not appreciate it, but for anyone with a free afternoon, try this story. It's a beautifully, masterfully crafted piece of literature. It's quiet and atmospheric, and beneath the beauty and innocence presented of a Victorian world and a children's book, is foreboding and rather heartbreaking.We're presented with the Tuck family, who have been blessed, or cursed, with eternal life or immortality. And where they could be enjoying themselves profusely, the ever wise Tucks realize they hold a somewhat terrible secret that could be if found out by the general populace, as Babbit so deftly describes, one of the worst things that could happen to the world. So when Winnie Foster stumbles into their world and onto their secret, they take her away to convince her not to tell anyone else. They win her over, and they win us over, so that the ending of the book is a bittersweet one, and yet mysteriously neverending as well. The various characters also convince us in the importance and righteousness of their resolve, and take us along on the whilrwhind chain of events and adventures that occur within a few short days. You end up believing them, and you start to see the great responsibility and wonder these people have forced on them. It helps create the mystery over the story from the first few pages, a mystery with a very pitifully human core, with which we are presented.Babbit tells the whole story simply without extraneous elaboration or description. She leaves a lot unanswered on purpose, which serves in the simplicity and profundity of the tale. She allows us to think about the characters, actually think about the consequences and curiosities and sorrows of what living forever might entail, but ultimately allowing us to decide if we would want to live forever here on Earth in the first place.

This book was first read to me in fourth grade. Every day our class would urge our teacher to read just one more chapter to us. It was the first book that lifted itself off of its pages and into my childhood heart.Last winter, over Christmas break, I was feeling a bit disconnected from myself and my child idealisms, so I decided to read Tuck Everlasting for a second time. Ten years after I read it for the first time, it was just as majestic and welcoming.There is something about Babbitt's writing that invites you into a world unlike any I have ever known... a world of childlike fantasies, and characters that are more familiar than any reality I have or wish to experience.I recomend this book to anyone who has lost themselves in a world of ostentatious values and fallacous relations... to anyone who, for 130 pages, would like to rediscover what it is to fantasize, discover, and dream. I welcome everyone into the world of Tuck Everlasting.
