THis book is worth the picking up because it is the essence of friendship between younger and older riders that come through their difficulties to help each other out. They are sensitive to each others needs, which is proved when Jenna, Katie and Sharon come up with the plan of Mr.X when Melissa is dumped by her long-distance love.Also showing love and sensitivity is Katie, who falls is love with a horse that has a grouch for an owner, but the horse pulls the owner and Katie together through the troubles the horse, Romance, has caused. That shows the heart and creativity of the writer of this book. And don't even get me started on the odd scheme of Luna and Sharon! I thoroughly hope that this review will help you to consider this book.

I like this book because it was quite interesting. Why, do you ask? It is interesting because of the ways the characters Melissa, Jenna, Sharon, and Katie think. It's great that this series is about horses. I'll give you all the full synopsis: While Melissa is doing her best to deal with the fact that she and her boyfriend have broken up, Jenna devises a plan: She, Katie, and Sharon will fool Melissa into thinking she's got a secret admirer to make her feel better! Sharon's also doing her best to figure out what's bothering Luna, a frisky filly at Silver Creek. Meanwhile, Katie's having quite a situation of her own. When a new camper named Matt arrives at Silver Creek, Katie finds herself falling in love...with his horse! Romance is beautiful mare who's a little hard to handle. But on her secret nightly visits to the stables, Katie finds Romance calms right down with a little love and a gentle touch. Now Katie must find a way to tell Matt to rein in his temper if he wants a happier horse. And if it works with Romance, maybe it's the start of something special between Matt and Katie...
