Loved it

I thought this book was great. It was funny and made me laugh. I loved all of the characters and the story line. If you like books that have drama and boy problems definatly read this book. All in all i loved this book and really hope another one comes out soon !

perfect sequel

I think this is a perfect sequel to the first Betty book. I love the new adventures, yet the continuation with the main characters lives. I really hope there will be a third.

Witty, funny, and cute!

Jody Gehrman does a fantastic job with this sequal to "Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty." I read the first one, and was so excited to find out that there was a sequel. We are again taken on a journey, created by Ms. Gehrman, through Geena. As we follow Geena, we learn along with her valuable life lessons about love, family, and happiness. What I love most about this novel is how hilarious and witty it is. Both books in the series are packed with comical anecdotes where I literally dropped the book and laughed out loud. (Which was irritating to my sister, who kept saying to me "Will you be quiet!") Because the story is told from Geena's point of view, we are able to hear the story through her unique voice. We as readers see into her head, and her mind is filled with funny sarcasm. The things she doesn't say out loud, are just as funny as the things she does. All of the characters are unique to this novel, and each have their own distinct personalities. In all my time reading "chick-lit" novels, I have not come across characters such as Ms. Gehrman has created here. I would definitely recommend this to all who are looking for a good laugh, a good story, and fun characters. Read the first book "Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty" then this one, and I promise you will not be disappointed. I really hope that there will be a third book in the series!

The Good Stuff

I loved Triple Shot Bettys In Love. (Pun intended. You gotta take 'em where you can get 'em.) I totally don't get the covers for these books, though. Geena (the protagonist of the novel) wouldn't stand for all this pink. Hero (Geena's cousin) would, but she's not the one telling the story. I always come away from Jody's books smiling and thinking, "That was a great book." Her novels are generally marketed as chick-lit, and they shouldn't be. They have real substance. I don't know what chick-lit implies, but it doesn't give the right vibe to me. Jody puts real humanity into her pages. In this sequel Geena faces all those cliche teenage problems with a completely fresh set of eyes. From her mothers new Irish boyfriend to her tight grasp on her virginity...Geena is just fun to read about. The world needs more girls like Geena. If, like me, you're an avid Jody's-books-reader ( Read it. It's good stuff.

The Bettys Strike Again!

The Bettys return in this fun-filled sequel to Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty. This story resumes not long after its prequel leaves off. It's been five amazing months since Geena realized her feelings for Ben. Things couldn't be better for them until a glamorous girl from Ben's past shows up, threatening their relationship and Geena's self-confidence. And even though Amber swore off boys after her last relationship ended disastrously, she can't help but be smitten by Geen'a incredibly hot and intellectual English teacher. In this hilarious and heartwarming continuation of the Bettys' tale, Geena and Amber stumble their way relationships to finally find true love. Fans of Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty will not be disappointed in its very funny and similarly well-written sequel. Gehrman is a master at telling realistic stories most teens can relate to with a perfect mix of humor and depth. Geena and Amber are so easy to relate to because they're so genuine and every girl in the world has probably experienced boy troubles and insecurity before at least once. I truly love how Gehrman can take everyday teen problems and make them something to worry and laugh about and eventually learn from in a truly enjoyable tale. My one major source of disappointment was the absence of the third Betty, Hero, except for a short appearance and a few emails. Also, I was a little sad the Bettys didn't exercise the slightly vengeful nature I saw in Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty against the people who deserved it the most, but it did show the Bettys' growth in maturity. Despite the presence of only two-thirds of my favorite Betty trio, Triple Shot Bettys in Love was a cute and lovable tale I immensely enjoyed. Any and every teen girl will enjoy the Bettys stories in both Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty and Triple Shot Bettys in Love, especially the ones who like stories peppered with laughs and coffee shots. Unfortunately, Betty fans will have to wait until after the New Year to acquire this new Betty tale; but never fear: it is worth the wait!
