Not only does this book have numerous good ideas, but reading it inspires you to be more imaginative in bed in general. The writing is clear and to the point, with the right amount of details and good descriptions. My main gripe with it is in the small amount of text. The book is only 121 pages long, and it took large font and wide margins to stretch it that far. Considering that Wiseman wrote a sequel, it doesn't seem like too much to ask that he just combine the two books into one, which still wouldn't even make it very long. I mean, if you are going to ask $11.95 list price, you ought to give a books worth of information.
Good ideas here!

This is the first in the series of "Tricks" books that Jay did. It became quite a series in that several people sent in their ideas for "tricks" that appeared in later "volumes" of this "series." And one thing for sure, the author of that line from the old ad "Silly rabbit, tricks are for kids," never read this book! So many tricks, so little time to try them all! But there are so many fun ones to try here. Everything from nipple play, playing with ice cubes, to varying your 'sexual repoertoire,' to various ways of doing oral sex. I liked too Jay's advice on always giving "feedback" when you're engaged in sex play, as well as not going too fast or too slow, or not stopping doing something just because you think your partner is about to orgasm.Lots of nifty little tips here, as with all of his other "Tricks" books.
Tricks are treats!

As the title says, the book focuses on simple ways to add some fun and/or intensity to sex between people who already enjoy being intimate, but the book also cleverly educates the reader on safer sex, consent, and alternative lifestyles. For example, I'd probably never go out with a prostitute, but it excited me to see the Hooker's Tricks listed. The 125 tricks listed are sandwiched between caveats, disclaimers, and lots of background information to guide me in the direction of further reading. It is fun reading that introduces you to lots of possibilities.
Ever have a lover yawn during sex?

As the Moyle said, "we could all use some tips."In "Tricks: More Than 125 Ways to Make Good Sex Better," Jay Wiseman gives us some good ones. They have cute, memorable names and are presented in a light-hearted voice, encouraging us to have fun with a sometimes-too-serious subject. There are tricks to use on men, tricks to use on women, some that will work just fine on either, even tricks that make "safer sex" sound exciting. They're interspersed with some common-sense advice that we all need reminders of, whether we've been getting it on for three weeks or three decades.Mr. Wiseman isn't a doctor, so he isn't dispensing medical advice. He's not a parent, so he's not dispensing parental advice. What he does give us is some informations, some great ideas, and perhaps a little jump-start on a hot new sex life.
Good tips

The author is respectful of sex and sexual partners. He has gathered info from many sources to provide a wide range of tricks for everyone from the "average sex" person, to the truly experimental. Makes me want to have the book by the bed with a pen and mark off the tricks as we try them. I am thankful for a sex book WITHOUT pictures.
