Truly, I had only seen Danny Trejo's work in 'Blood In, Blood Out', and 'Spy Kids'. Which are 2 very different movies. And to my luck, both of these are spoken of in his memoir, which I loved. I knew absolutely nothing of Danny Trejo's life. All I knew about him was that some know him as 'Machete', and that he's a bad ass. After reading his memoir, he's come a long way to being a greatly respectable man. He's paid his dues, and he deserves to live a healthy and prosperous life. His story is absolutely enthralling. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone under the age of 18(or young adults that may be impressionable), as Danny Trejo's life trekked through drug paraphernalia, prison life, threats, deaths, and over all explicitness.
What and Amazing Life!

Real life! The story of Danny Trego's life is one that is captivating, sad,and triumphant. A story of a man trying to break the family cycle of drugs, violence, and " toxic masculinity". Parts of this book moved me to tears and the kindness that Danny Trego carries in his heart and soul. This book was definitely a page turner.
