Tough Minded Faith for Tender Hearted People

Robert Schuller is an amazing and prolific writer. He is a man of extreme faith, an evangelist now in his eighties, who has now turned his television and Crystal Cathedral services over to his son. Toughminded Faith for Tenderhearted People was just what I needed. I love the title, and the contents live up to the name. Each page contains a complete lesson based on a Bible passage. I can open this book up at random and receive inspiration. I just opened the book up to page 266, and true to form, Schuller turns loyalty to a baseball team into an exercise in faith. And there are, you guessed it, 365 pages. I highly recommend this book to all tenderhearted people everywhere.

...though I must confess I am not the biggest fan of Schuller or any of the TV evangelists, I do try to read a lot of religious, inspirational and philosophical literature. I found that since (like Schuller says himself) faith comes dressed not like tangible, scientifically proven data, but it's like the gut level truth, something that can help us everyday folks affirm our faith and help us reach for our dreams is, like they say, priceless. Schuller sometimes is too liberal with the alliteration, but, hey. Who cares? He's sold millions of inspirational books and I haven't, so, just maybe he knows what he's doing. Or rather, his faith has helped him attain the seemingly impossible. And these anecdotes and 'firing up' essaysmap out how he's done what he's done. And we can do it, too. That is, attain some of our greatest goals in life. The reader never has to follow the order, (each beginning with 'Faith is...') of these daily messages, just open and read and apply copiously.And like Schuller says, Challenge the winds! Scale the heights! Make the right move in the right way at the right time...

This book is one of my fav' and I decided to write down the selected 'Faith Gem's from time to time ... Every Inspiration turns a leaf with tough minded faith to a positive note for successful living. Robert Schuller gives the inner sight to face challenges and come out unscathed with tough minded faith. Based on truly inspiring Bible verses, Rob has definitely proven a best seller apart from his Book 'Tough times never last tough people do'.Rob has attempted to release the emotional powers of human being with Bible verses in the 366 motivations and its like a Spiritual fitness program that makes you possess the surviving power to experience the incredible, powerful truth in the promise of Jesus Christ 'If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say this to a mountain...'Move' and nothing will be impossible for you' (Matt.17:20) Yeah..Tough Minded Faith for tender Hearts...Sure, Another Bible or a Gita, Pick it up and weave into the fabric of your daily life!!God Bless You!

I highly recommend this book. It serves as a daily companion. I randomly read a page each night and am amazed by the wise advice on strengthening one's faith.
