Great variety of patterns from easy garter stitch to fair isle and intarsia. Also a variety of sizes, on lacy poncho for sizes 2-4 years, but also most at 1 year and up with a few smaller patterns. Cute patterns that still allow you to visualize how to personalize it. Has a larger section on how to knit, but very new beginners will probaly want another book to go with it. I also like the fact it uses yarn that is size number 4, it makes it easier for me to find appropiate yarn, and makes the cute projects go at a reasonable pace, with out being to bulky. I feel this is a good all around book, with patterns you can and want to make.
