Too Much to Lose (Sweet Dreams)

I first read this book when I was fourteen in high school and I fell in love with the story, the characters, and the morals to learn from as a teen. But it took me about seven years to find my own book because I coudn't keep it the first time I read it since the book belonged to the Language/ Arts classroom and it's an old school book that can't be found in any bookstore that I know of. This story is about a girl named Suzy Powers, who was just got dumped by her boyfriend of six months named Barry for another girl, and decides not to play the 'date-only-one-boy' after that heartbreak that Barry gave her. She and her best friend, Donna, agrees with Suzy on the 'tie-down-to-one-boy', but when they entered their Junior year they were wrong on not being committed to one guy. Donna gets a boyfriend/ jock and Suzy was noticing a Senior named Mike Kelly, who moved from Chicago a year ago. Suzy and Mike were going out together, Mike wanting Suzy to be his girl, discovering they both wish to be doctors in the future, but does Suzy want to be tied with Mike after Barry dumped Suzy for another, or is Mike the one for Suzy to love for life? Great book to read, and I still read it today. I would recommend this book to anyone who don't believe that love lasts forever. It does last forever. All you have to do is remember, do, and feel the loving goodness in your life that you have or what people bring to you in your life to make it last forever.
