I love clever women!

The woman in this is clever! The love scenes are sensuous! The guy is oblivious, as men occasionally are :) It was fun to read. It reminded me a bit of Georgette Heyer's style, but a GREAT DEAL sexier. Lot's of laughter, lot's of plot twisting, Regency style, with a steamy relationship thrown in. Luckily, without an insipid female to have to deal with in the bargain.

Ooo baby I think I'm in love

This book is the best book in 1700's romance I have ever read. Even though the characters don't go anywhere, they spend a lot of time in every room in the house. This book was cute and spontanious. I recommend it to everyone. She needs to write about Percy with his sexy self. I am very picky about what I read, but when it comes to Dara she can make it sizzle.

Excellent, as usual

I have read every single one of Dara Joy's books (a couple of them more than once), and this is the book responsible for me discovering her. I LOVE this book. I laughed practically all the way through it, earning me strange looks from friends and co-workers. I really enjoy how she puts humor in the story, even in the middle of her love scenes, of which there are plenty. Her characters are so real with their foibles and habits. Chloe and John just seem like a couple that was meant to be, and their chemistry heats up the book. If you like a story that will make you laugh, and still delivers a believable and hot love story, read this book.(Note to Ms. Joy: Please, please, write a book about the Black Rose! )

Fantastic, I couldn't put this down

This book was a total riot to read. Every time I turned the page I was laughing out-loud. My husband even came in the room several times and asked if I was o.k. and what I was laughing at. I think that Chloe was a very determined and supper funny heronine and that Lord Sexton gets just what he needs as a wife. This book was not what the back lead me to believe, but it is more about their marraige and how they learn to tell each other that they love each other. I was a little disappointed in the last chapter. I thought that there could have been more explination about how Lord Sexton comes about discover that he loves Chloe. But on the whole it was a fantastic book. Don't pick this one up unless you don't want to go to sleep.

I laughed and smiled so much my face hurt at the end!

Okay so Dara Joy doesn't write like Coulter or Lindsey. But that is one of the things I love about her style! I found myself caring about John and Chloe from the start. I laughed and smiled and even felt like crying a time or two. This and all of Ms.Joy's books have found a home on my shelf of books to keep and reread. The wit that Ms.Joy puts into all of her books screams off the pages. Not only do I look forward to the rest of the Matrix books but I am keeping my fingers crossed for books about Percy and "The Seven Deadly Cyns". If you want a book that makes you remember that laughter is one of the best parts of being in love then buy this book and remember!
