As they waddle like penguins, scuttle like crabs, stomp like elephants, and wriggle like worms, this menagerie of energetic toddlers exercise their bodies -- as well as their imaginations. Of course, readers are invited to join in the fun of Toddlerobics and the discovery of all the wonderful ways their bodies can move. Zita Newcome's active wordplay and vibrant illustrations are an invitation to celebrate the joys of waddling, scuttling, stomping, and wriggling along.
My three-year-old started enjoying this book when he was about 13 months old. He sometimes just liked to look at the colorful, cheery illustrations of the kids moving around. Often he liked to get up and move, too. Now he and his 16-month-old sister love doing the motions; that is REALLY fun for the family! It's a great book for movement, movement, movement! This is the one book I think most children this age would really enjoy...it would make a great gift for a young child OR expectant parent.
Can't wait to see more from Ms. Newcome!

Excellent illustrations, catchy rhymes and fun animal motions make this a very interactive book. The toddler characters are identified in the front and back of the book, so that by the 50th reading (and you know you'll get there!) they are like old friends to my 2 1/2-year-old. Definitely a favorite!

As a mother of a two year-old I am constantly looking for ways to engage my ever-energetic daughter! The Book, Toddlerobics not only reinforces the sounds and descriptions of animals, but encourages active movement amongst its young participants. Whether they are walking sideways like a crab, or roaring like a lion, your toddler will love this high-energy, interactive book!

My 17 month daughter just adores this book. She joins in on lots of the actions (We especially love to rub noses!)and giggles away at the beautiful pictures. She even waves hello and goodbye to the children pictured on the end papers. Great fun for toddlers and parents.
My two year old can't stay away from this one!

This book brings your child alive. Although it is not a lap book, it is perfect for stimulating activity. It keeps your little one doing plenty of gross motor movements, singing songs, and following directions. We usually read it 2 or 3 times a day and play all over the house. Lots of fun and a must have for the busy toddler!
