Exceptional!!

Everything I normally look for to enjoy a book was evident in this book save one or two elements, but that did not deter me from thoroughly enjoying this book. The synopsis of this novel is on the product review page, it's pointless to repeat it here. This book had enough accurate information for that Genre that is was easy for me to safely enjoy the book without consciously looking for mistakes. No more accurate dialect for that genre could have been written, Adrienne really put a great effort on her research, for that alone the book deserves a two star. (and adding). The drama was a little too minimal for my taste, but since it existed in the novel overall I was willing to overlook that minor detail. Her usage of the Peerage ranks and social class was as accurate as well. Nothing irritates me more than an author who does not do enough minor research to make sure the peerage title usage is accurate. Lastly, this most important thing for me (it is a love story after all) is the passion between the characters. Ms Basso once again nailed it dead on. This book seems although independent to be part of a series, there was a character "Harriet" the sister of the Viscount who I really didn't care for at all. Fortunately I read her story in "to tempt a rogue" before I got my hands on this book and I must say that I would not have wanted to read about her after the role she played in this novel. Honestly she is so bitter I wonder why she even got a story. Nevertheless both books were exceptional.
