HILARIOUS

This book read fast and fun!I laughed out loud soo many times. Could have had a few more love scenes but the sexual tension was fantastic.

Can't wait for the next one!

Karen, again has another masterpiece. I was pleased with the way the book tied into the previous one without the previous story outshinning the new book. The characters are charming and I can't wait until the next one comes out. Karen Hawkins always has a way of making all of her stories a fun read. Good going Karen.

To Scotland, With Love

Gregor MacLean and Venetia Oglivie have been best friends since they were children, so when Venetia goes missing Gregor doesn't hesitate to search for her. Unfortunately Gregors' temper has the ability to create storms and when he does find her they, along with the other patrons at the inn, become stranded until the snow melts and the road becomes safe to travel again. As the days go by Gregor and Venetia begin to see each other as more than friends and desire begins to simmer between them. Gregor does not want a wife or believe in love but when Venetia's reputation is at risk he may have to sacrifice his freedom for his friend and Venetia has no intention of marrying a man who does not love her, even if it is her handsome, beloved best friend. To Scotland, With Love is a heartwarming and entertaining story. Surrounded by a cast of engaging and amusing characters, Gregor and Venetia fall in love. Their emotions are vividly expressed as their friendship develops into something more. Venetia is endearing. She is sweet and kind and Gregor is handsome and dashing. The way the sky thundered when Gregor is angry is magical and powerful. To Scotland, With Love is an enchanting love story! Nannette Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

Fast and Exciting!

I love stories where best friends fall in love and Karen Hawkins writes a great one here. Gregor MacLean has been friends with Venetia Oglivie since they were children. While he deplores her attempts to get involved in the lives of others, he also trusts her superior good sense and intellect. But when a fortune hunter seems to have tricked Venetia into eloping with him, Gregor does something very unusual for such a cool and controlled man -- he flies to the rescue! Of course, Gregor isn't your normal hero! He's a MacLean and has been cursed, so when he looses his temper, the weather breaks loose with him. Since he's worried about Venetia, and angry with the rake who absconded with her, soon it's snowing like crazy -- in April! Venetia and Gregor are wonderful characters. I could see their slow awakening to the fact that they weren't just friends, but were also in love. The entire book was delightful and fun and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I also liked that there were a lot of other characters at the inn, some of them very amusing, too. Better yet, the next book is about Dougal, and I think he's going to be the best one of all. An excellent continuation of the MacLean Curse Series!
