Romance Lover

Love to Laugh? Pick up Karen Kendall. Wacky characters and true love are a match made in heaven for those who need a good lift in their day. Have fun with movie special effects, stolen art and romance. This book is a must for those who want comedy with their romance.

Catch a Great Read

Karen Kendall is a writer who knows how to put a smile on a reader's face and keep it there! Her work is sharp and funny and best of all DIFFERENT. And with to Catch a Kiss you know you're in for something different from the very first lines; "Some women kept baskets of potpourri on their desks at work. Jazz Taylor kept a basket of latex noses." Jazz is a special effects wizard for the movies whose life is picture perfect until her art thief/con man father wanders back into it pursued by a stubborn and very sexy cop, Tony Sinclair. Of course, this being a romance you know these two will wind up together. But how they get there is a rollercoaster of a ride you'll heartily enjoy.

Laugh out loud funny!

This is the second book of Ms. Kendall's that I have read and I liked it even better than the first. This is a true case of "opposites attract"--but it's very clear to the reader why Tony Sinclair and Jazz Taylor are made for each other. Sexual tension abounds as these two find a way to work together to clear Jazz's father, Myles, from a suspected art heist. The secondary love story between Myles and his lady love is simply icing on the cake of a truly delectable story.

Don't judge this book by its cover.

I loved Ms. Kendall's first book, Something About Cecily, and this one surpasses that. Her heroine, Jazz, is a special effects artist (what a cool profession!) who possesses an endearing mixture of sass and vulnerability, and easily negotiates the churning waters of being both daughter and mother to her charming but unreliable art-thief father. Tony, her hero, is a macho cop with just enough of marshmallow beneath his sometimes crunchy exterior. He's tough and tender by turns, and straddles the line between the alpha and the beta male, possessing the best qualities of both. Ms. Kendall's writing style is clean, clear, and unpretentious, and FUNNY!!! I giggled, I sighed, and, at least once, I nearly cried. This is a must-have and a keeper.

Very amusing romantic romp

Atlanta police officer Tony Sinclair visits Taylor FX Studios to ask the owner, Oscar nominee Jazz Taylor, where he can find her father Myles, wanted for questioning in the High Museum heist. Tony also has a personal reason to interrogate Myles as the prime suspect in the museum robbery because he has been seeing his Aunt Ellen. Jazz informs Tony that she has not seen her father in over a year, but gives the cop the last known address she has of him. When she returns to her home, Jazz finds Myles waiting for her. He insists he is innocent and pleads with her to hide him. Being a special effects expert should make that easy for Jazz, but Tony sees what she is doing. Instead of turning her in for abetting Myles, Tony becomes her accomplice in trying to prove her father's innocence. However, if he knew the danger to her life and his heart, Tony would have chosen a safer path for the woman he now loves. TO CATCH A KISS is a very amusing romantic romp that stars two likable lead protagonists. The story line reads like a 1930s madcap comedic romance set in contemporary times. It never slows down until the tale is finished. The support cast adds depth and much humor, especially Myles. Fans of humorous romances will enjoy Karen Kendall's latest romp and want to read her debut tale, the jocular SOMETHING ABOUT CECILY.Harriet Klausner
