Interesting & action filled book for young readers

This biography reads like a fast-paced fiction book, bringing you through the world of Tiger Wood's golf career with many interesting facts scattered throughout the book along with an engaging storyline that follows Tiger's life sequentially. The book starts at the very beginning, describing Tiger's birth and giving background information on his father and mother. Already a prodigy at the age of two, the book gradually leads through the rest of Tiger's beginning career. The avid and spirited storytelling keeps the reader turning the pages. The mood is carefully set during the happy and dark moments in the book. One really feels empathy for Tiger during these moments, sharing his joy and mourning his loss. For those unfamiliar with golf terms and rules, the book does a good job of explaining Tiger's play and score so one will not be lost by the complexity of golf. The pages of color photos in the middle of the book is a neat bonus, and the author wraps up the book with satisfying extras such as a brief history of golf and a list of all the tournaments Tiger played in and the results. In short, I recommend this book for anyone interested in golf or Tiger Woods or just anyone who enjoys reading about sport prodigies. This book would probably be best for those age 8-12.

What I think about Tiger Woods:An American Master

This book is very well written and tells lots of information on Tiger.Nick Edwards did a good job in putting this book into a format where kids can read this book very easily.I think this book deserves 4 stars because it had a lot of information but it kind of over did what they said about Tiger. But Otherwise it is a fantabulous book.
