Indispensable work on tiger conservation

This is a gripping study of tiger conservation in India from 1800 onward, with natural history of the tiger, and first-hand accounts of individuals who have dedicated their lives to India's wildlife, and particularly the very vulnerable tiger. This book is a call to action, and the most moving account of the survival struggles of tigers in India, bar none. Beautiful photographs, and a splendid weaving of journalism and passionate advocacy. A must for anyone interested in Indian wildlife conservation, its economics, politics, and personalities, as well as the cat itself.
