When we consider the lives of the disciples during the Passion Week, especially, say, on that Thursday night, just before Jesus' arrest, they were not altogether different from most Christians today: they'd been with Him, knew some things about Him, had some experience of His power and glory, and yet, despite all that, were still fairly confused, wandering, lost, through their lives.Fifty-three days later, all of that changes. They are now men who know the salvation they've been given, their complete freedom from sin and death; the power of the Holy Spirit within them; the life of Jesus that comes with Him; the fullness of the inheritance that's theirs; the fact that Jesus is still with them, and the sort of Heavenly lives they're meant to live. They are, in fact, altogether different men now.That's the purpose of this short book. That we might wrestle with, and fully take to heart, the Thresholds and baselines that are already ours' because of what Jesus has already done. That we might, along with those first disciples, fully possess the Kingdom of Heaven as the Lord Jesus, by the Holy Spirit, intends us to.May we together cross, may we live above, the Thresholds.
