This book was so cute! I loved the illustrations of the farm animals! I think this book teaches young kids to help their parents out when they are stressed, just like the farm animals did for Farmer Wood.
This charming story illustrates shared responsibilities.

A very good read-aloud story for children AND adults, the book has simple watercolor illustrations and repetitive phrases that make it memorable. The story line is Farmer Wood's allowing his farm to get in a mess to the point that the animals decide to help him fix it up so that it will once again be a good home for them as well as for Farmer Wood. 'Shades of the old classic Little Red Hen, perhaps?
