Thirty Years on the Line

Several years after it's publication, this book continues to be pulled off our livingroom bookshelf by adults and young readers alike. The pictures and accounts command respect from anyone reading it! Glad to hear there are more books by Leo!

One of the best books I have ever read A book I did not want to put down once I started reading. I have read three of Mr. Stapletons books and all three have given me many hours of enjoyable reading.

In his experience, Commissioner Stapleton reminisces about his life on the fire line and remembers both the good and the bad of the job that the men and women called firefighters do each day of their lives. I really appreciated some of the fire humor and also could feel the hopelessness of some situations, and the anger that Leo allows to come out at different points. Being a firefighter I found it easy to relate to the situations. Just being promoted, I also found "Lufts" by Mr. Stapleton to be interesting and informative, even though it is fiction.
