I found this memoir extremely enlightening and honest. As a nurse myself, for more then 30 years I could relate to everything kate talked about. Nursing has changed dramatically and we do have to find a way to keep nursing an "art" and keep the profession alive. great read, you'll laugh and cry!

this was a wonderful, truthful memoir full of humor, sadness and true grit...thanks to kate for enlightening us to the world of a nurse, especially in todays political world where they are trying to cut back on healthcare and school nurses.thanks for a wonderfuil reading adventure!

i heard kate speak on WBZ RADIO last night. totally enjoyed the book and loved how she faced adversity...she did well on the radio, stating young nurses going into the profession should realize early on to have a voice.thanks to kate

this book helped me heal right along with Kate. I am a nurse as well, from an alcoholic upbring... this made me feel i wasnt alone, helped me laugh and cry and brought back memories of the 60's and 70's in boston. the person who wrote the last review is simply cold hearted and mean spirited.......
