History of 20th Century Pentecost

This is a book of great historical significance. It brought back so many memories. How did we get to where we are today? This book helps illuminate the ecclesiastical leadership of the first couple of decades and how their ministry helped shape the course of events, beyond their time. Definitely worth reading and having in your library.

An excellent book on Pentecostal history and theology

In her review in the Christian Century, Edith Blumhofer of the Institute for the Study of American Evangelicals said this was one of only a very few "must read" books dealing with Pentecostalism. She is absolutely right. This book is written in a lively style very different from some of the boring theology I have read in the past. It is fun to read, and if you have any interest in Pentecostals this book is an absolute page turner. This book is not just about theology - it is full of biography and the general history of the movement told in a prose style that reads like a good novel. All in all it is the best book I have ever read on the topic.
