Think Like a Guy

DePandi's caustic tongue may feel hurtful at times, especially if you're guilty of the behaviors she condemns, and especially if you are convinced they're fine. Indeed, her thesis isn't true for all guys to the extent she says (thank God), but the exaggeration is clearly a stylistic device rather than something to take literally. In my opinion, Depandi uses it to great effect, and this book is a VERY smart, laugh-out-loud hilarious read if you take it the right way. The brevity makes it a breath of fresh air after those humorless advice tomes written by psychologists and filled with sprawling case studies and touchy-feely jargon. The brevity is a good thing. The reason the book may feel insubstantial to some people is not that the chapters are short but that they refuse to accept Depandi's tips and therefore see nothing of value here. She's right. Yes, take it with a grain of salt. Yes, honest and real relationships are possible, and yes, it would be crazy to keep up with these rules once yours becomes a committed relationship. But for getting the guy in the first place, these can't be beat. Depandi hits ALL the big turnoffs. Painful as it is, she's right. You can take it or leave it, but if you're seriously interested in results, don't kid yourself. It would only be your loss! Thanks Giuliana for a quick, amusing and enlightening shot of reality.

I am like you...I'm a great catch, but I'm still single!!! So, I did some self-analysis recently, and with the help of my brother I started to see the light on what I was doing wrong. Basically, I had to STOP thinking like a GIRL and start thinking like a GUY. THIS book spells it out for you in a simple format and basic rules to go by. Men, for years, have had this hold over us, they seem to have the upper-hand....well, this book tells you how to get that position back! And it's REEALLY simple. I even ran the "rules" by my brother, and with a chuckle, he agreed to every one of them! I'm still single, but the guys I'm dating now are dating me because, as they say, I'm SOOO different from all the other girls out there. Thank you Giuliana for pointing out what women have been doing wrong for so many years, and ladies, you will feel empowered again once you read this book!

I recommend this to any single gal with guy problems! I wish I had read this book a few weeks ago because it could have saved a "relationship" that fizzled before it began. It's a modern day version of classic "The Rules." I read this in about an hour and cracked up every chapter. DePandi is hilarious! She is definitely "straight-up" as she likes to say and lays it on the line. It's time we stop making excuses for guys!

My girlfriend has this book and I was flipping through it and it really is good. If every girl read this book it would make their boyfriend's life a lot easier, trust me. Guys may wanna get this for their girlfriends too. It will save them from a lot of arguements and fights-no joke!

Oh my gosh! I just finished this book 10 minutes ago and I've already called my two best friends and DEMANDED they go get it asap! This has some of the best advice I have ever gotten about dating and guys. Everything is covered--from what to say when a guy calls you for the very first time to things you should take out of your medicine cabinent that may freak a guy out. I also learned to not start squealing when I see a cute puppy or baby around him because he may think I'm dying to get married and have a baby. It's not that you can never act this way, it's just better not to when your first start dating...you don't wanna chase him away too early (we've all been there before, right girls?) There are so many great tips, I could go on and on but I don't wanna give them all away:) I loved it!!!
