Theodore Mouse has vision and endurance

In this brief children's story, Theodore Mouse wakes up every day, cleans up, goes to the roof of his house and notes that "every morning is the same." Seeing that the sea seems to be the only thing that changes from day to day, Theodore sets out to sail the seas using his bed as a boat and his sheet as a sail. He travels in the tropics and in frigid areas of the world before running into dangerous "pirate cats" and "wild water rats." He ingeniously escapes without using violence and returns home to his same and safe morning rituals. However, this time, when Theodore goes to the roof, there are other mice waiting to hear of his adventures. Lucinda's McQueen's colorful illustrations are very nice and help the story move along.
