My Dad Loved This Book

My father loves John Wayne. He has almost all his movies and he enjoyed this book about him.

a wonderful read

What a wonderful and insightful book this is. My husband and I truly enjoyed all the details and great photos. I highly recommend this book to all John Wayne fans, even if you don't know you are one!

A great buy!

I ordered this book for my husband who has always liked John Wayne and is particularly interested with the history of such favorites. I was very happy with this purchase and delighted to get it for him for Christmas.

John Wayne and his history with Motion Pictures.

I personally knew Chuck Roberson, John Wayne's stunt double known as the Fall Guy. This became highly informative to me after knowing the background of Chuck, his falling horses and his making of western and other movies with John Wayne.

This book put a heart and soul to the man.

It only took two days for me to read this book. Each and every page grabs your attention. I have seen alot of John Wayne movies and read alot about him but this book provided me with things I never knew. I love the fact that I can watch all those movies again with all these new found facts. It will be like watching them for the first time. Knowing John Wayne helped develop more realisic stunts and performed most of them himself will make me look alittle closer next time I watch movies such as "Stagecoach." By reading this book I learned so much more than any other book I have read about John Wayne. Most of the books written about John Wayne have no problem telling you John Wayne had heart and soul--this book tells you the how and why he had heart and soul. And although John Wayne will always be thought of as bigger than life..this book makes him human too.
