"It's All True"

I'm writing because in God's Providence, The World's Greatest Secret was the first book I read after my re-version in 1998. It practically jumped off of the shelf and into my hands at a formation center called the Ark of the Covenant and it was the source of much fruitful contemplation during the critical days and weeks that followed the moment when I felt infused with the knowledge that "It's all true" (this was after 20 years of living as a lapsed Catholic). As a scholarly work it is lacking, but as a journey/pilgrimage across time -- a schooling in the Faith of our Fathers -- it is priceless. The author's method of testing out the book and seeking constructive criticism so as to better present the evidence seemed odd but after pondering the matter, I felt that it had to be that way. This book is IMPORTANT in the current age of the "dictatorship of relativism" a bitter fruit of the "culture of death." Efforts like this attempt to integrate personal experience, history and theology are very difficult to complete. I should know, for I tried to accomplish the same type feat in 2004 with a project, Reflecting Pool. John Haffert succeeds in identifying and expounding on the secrets of the Catholic faith in a personal way and this book is a must read for those who have lost a sense of awe and an understanding of deep mystery. The treasures of the Church are ever new and the deceased founder of the Blue Army makes a valiant attempt to show that they are relevant to mankind especially considering the confusion and turmoil that followed Vatican II. His message is that there needs to be a reawakening to the fact that ABSOLUTES do exist and that the REAL PRESENSE of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist at HOLY MASS must be central to our lives. The truth of message of Our Lady of Fatima is also central to the effort...for it does appear that time is running out. There is much to be gleaned from this work. I return to it often at Eucharistic Adoration.

Eucharist for Beginners

Despite a few childishly written passages and obsolete science, this book remains a convincing explanation and proof of the Catholic doctrine of the Eucharist. It is written for the neophyte, and well-catechised Catholics will gain little from it.

What's Missing in Modern Christianity?

What did they find when they excavated beneath Saint Peter's Basilica starting in 1939? Yes, they found Peter's cemetery but much more. Is there a way to get close to Jesus besides reading scripture and praying? There is. Important, faith-building reading that every one should read.
