Fabulous book that should be readily available

I remember getting a set of three Ruth Chew books, which included this one, The Wednesday Witch, and some other one back when I was in elementary school. It must really be a good book if you remember something you read back when you were 9-yrs.-old! I am so glad I found these books offered here by independent sellers. They are a blast from the past and I can't wait for my kids to be old enough to read them themselves.

I rember reading this book when I was little. I read over and over again. Now that I have a little cousin I am going to read it to her, and I hope that the wonderful story will stay with her like it did with me.

I am an elementary teacher and have read this book aloud to my students for the last ten years. They all have loved it. I still receive letters from former students who remember The Wishing Tree. This book has sparked a sense of adventure in students who had never picked up a chapter book previously. I recommend it to young and old alike!

Ruth Chew writes magical and adventerous books. The wishing tree is my favorite so far. It is both magical and adventurous. Every part is a good part. Why don't you read it. It is about a tree that leads these kids and a cat to a magical place. They meet a friend there. Read it and find out who the friend is.
