My Favorite Childhood Book

I don't remember much from my childhood, but I do remember this book! Enough that I was inspired to reorder it as an adult. The message is so simple, clear, and profound. Everyone should read this book!

This book is a much cuter and age appropriate version of the old Rolling Stones song. A girl wishes for a kitten, but she doesn’t get exactly what she was expecting. It has a happy ending, and is really sweet story.

I checked this book out at the library because I liked the style of artwork. Even my mother (who is not an animal person) loved this book! I had to buy it,even though my youngest has almost outgrown these books.

I read this story to a class of kindergartners who loved it. It is a story that encourages sympathy and reminds us that we are all living, breathing creatures that need love.
