Fantastic!

Another fantastic book by Sara Mitchell! It has always been difficult finding authors that can actually write. I mean with smooth style and conversations that flow easily between characters. Great writers of secular romance/suspense are few, great Christian writers are even fewer, unfortunately. Now that I read only Christian fiction, I search diligently for good writers as I have a voracious appetite for good Christian romance/suspense. Sara Mitchell is one of the best writers I've come across. She is right up there with Dee Henderson, Hannah Alexander, Shirlee McCoy, T Davis Bunn, Catherine Palmer, and Alton Gansky. The Widow's Secret is romantic and suspenseful, full of strong but imperfect characters. There is no downside to the story line. I can't stand long separations or deep emotional turmoil between the main characters. In this book, it is 'them' against the bad guys. Fantastic book. And the intense message of faith just makes it Fabulous.

Fabulous Mix of Romance & Suspense

This book is intense! It's rich in historical detail and the characters come alive. Highly recommended, especially for readers looking for new and interesting settings.

ANOTHER FAVORITE!!!

THE WIDOW'S SECRET is another outstanding book by Sara Mitchell. The plot line is fascinating - seeped in well researched historical details of southern culture at the turn of the century. The mystery/suspense is first-rate - you certainly won't want to put the book down. It is the rich character development though that makes this novel one of my favorites. Mrs. Mitchell is exceptionally gifted in crafting hero/heroine interactions where the tension and tender romance sweep you into a story you simply do not want to end. Her characters are genuine and sincere - seeking to overcome obstacles while finding strength in each other and especially their Father God. I highly recommend this novel and any of her previously published titles.

Another Great Read!

Great love story and tight suspense from Sara Mitchell, who never disappoints in either area. Characters are likable and real, story and setting true to the times. And Micah Mackenzie--fascinating. You won't stop reading until you reach the last page!
