While Heather plans the town centennial and feuds with the town's mayor, Amelia tries her hand at work as a clown and Erin falls madly in love for the very first time. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This conclusion to the four-part Whitney Cousins series takes place in Fox Crossing, WA, where 15-year-olds Erin and Amelia have come to spend the summer with their cousin Heather, her mother and new stepfather while the rest of their family sets off for a family reunion in Oklahoma. Right away, Erin and Amelia become enmeshed in Fox Crossing life. Heather is almost singlehandedly planning the town's bicentennial celebration, which is beginning to look like a disaster; Amelia volunteers to train a troupe of enthusiastic but klutzy clowns for a bicentennial performance; and Erin - always wary of letting anyone into her heart after the death of her parents five years earlier - finds herself falling helplessly in love with the mayor's son. Thesman's writing is both characteristic of typical teenage girls, yet manages to strike deeper chords as the trio further bonds the summer after a school year that brought terrible events to each. The book proves a satisfying conclusion to the plots and characters that were introduced within the first three books.
Wonderfully Written, Whitty and completely enjoyable

I have only read this book in the Whiteny series, and I wish that I had them all. This story brings all of the whitney girls together to spend the summer with Heather and her new family (stepdad, and stepsister) all while helping plan the towns (bi?)centenial celebration. I enjoyed the entire book, it is cleverly written, so much so that the words play like a movie in your head, and the characters become alive in your mind. SUPER, HIGHLY RECOMENDED
