The Well Dressed Potato

I just got this book in the mail, and while I have not tried out the recipes I gave it five stars just for the variety. I have two other Nitty Gritty cookbooks (waffles and pizzelles and best bagels), which both have excellent recipes so I am expecting the same from this one. I wasn't really sure what I was getting with this one, but I was intrigued by the title. It seems to be pretty much what it says it is, a cookbook on different ways to "dress" a potato. The recipes are definitely not limited to just toppings, but they do make up a large portion of the book. Also included are recipes for sweet potatotes, stuffed potatoes, potato dishes, plus a little bit of info about potatoes, how to select them and that sort of thing. I think this book would be a good addition for anyone, from the potato lover (like me) to someone who is looking for new ways to jazz up an old stand-by.
