This is a sequel to "The Duke's Mistress". It starts out almost where the other one leaves off. Quite a new twist to it with Chloe and Brandt--how they get together & all the twists & turns because of Chloe's brother Lucien from the duke's mistress. She ends up with many distorted ideas because of her exposure to some of his rakish friends behavior. I found it hard to put down when I needed to something. Would recommend it to anyone.

From the book: Faced w/ her guardian's unsavoury choice of husband or the comfortable love of a sensible man, lady Chloe determines on a sensible match. But she hasn't counted on Brandt, Lord Salcombe, thwarting her carefully laid plans. With Chloe discovered in a potentially compromising situation w/ Mr Safe and Sensible, how dare her rescuer, Brandt, insist that the next time she wants a kiss she should come to him! it's not as if the wild and passionate Brandt is ideal husband material himself, but she can't deny his offer is tempting.... I read this book first, but found out afterword that it is somewhat of a continuation of The Duke's Mistress. Viscount's bride is a story in itself, but some of it's characters were main characters of the Duke's Mistress and the story from that book is mentioned thru out this one.
