From the moment I started this book, I knew it was going to teach me... and it did. When you first read the bible and these verses, it is extremely intimidating. These days, who actually buys sheep, makes their own thread and then makes clothes and bedding with it? This book has 12 chapters, each chapter discusses major points drawn from the Proverbs 31 passage about being a virtuous woman. Something I like about this book, is that it uses other verses of the bible to make a point. This book has high impact. With the help of this book by Vicki Courtney, I've learned I am not that bad... I have a long way to go, but, with the help of God, I can get there -- I can be a virtuous woman.

I thought this book was terrific. It helped me as a woman to see that the virtuous woman spoken of in proverbs was an idea of the perfect woman that God desires. It validated me in ways that helped me overcome insecurities and feelings of inadequacy about being a woman in general. God has provided us with a wonderful model of the virtousity that He desires in a wife for the GOD-man! Vicki Courtney does a fabulous job at showing that she too is a work in progress. Thanks for sharing your insight with us all Vicki.

I have always been intimidated by the "proverbs 31 woman" But Vicky Courtney does a great job bringing her down to earth and giving real life advice on how to follow God's ideals. I suggest this book for all women who are tired of trying to be "superwoman"
